Robyn Westlake sent us these photos to show her family preparing the “drop bags” for the Iditarod. Each musher deposit’s bags of supplies at the designated checkpoints on the trail. These bags contain dog food, dog booties, spare sled parts, food and drink for the musher and special surprise treats from the families…..like some nice muktuk. Most of these pictures show Lori’s sister Marcy (woman with the clipboard) and other family and friends. It takes a big team (or a big family) to get prepared for the Last Great Race!
